Silly Conservative People

After swim practice one day the subject of evolution somehow came up. I was doing my best not to say anything when Abe Gardner decided to offer his opinion "if you believe in evolution you are retarded, because you believe that a gorilla gave birth to a retard monkey baby that then made a human." this insults me on so many different levels. But let me start be saying you, Abe Gardner are the gullible, brainwashed, retard monkey baby.

Evolution does not say in anyway that we evolved from gorillas, it actually says human and gorillas came from a common ancestor. And at some point this common ancestor gave birth to a baby that had some slightly advantageous trait, (probably more opposable thumbs). And over millions of years a new species was born. Obviously this all happened much too slow for anyone to notice, so they made up religion to explain it all. This was how Christianity was made, it's a shame that your legally retarded brain is to simple to understand this.

If you were wondering I did not say this to Abe because he walked away as soon as he made his comment about retarded monkey babies, this seems to be the only way he can win an argument.

P.S. although I doubt you will ever read this nothing personal Abe I just get very worked up about these things.

School Topic: Leadership

I've recently had a run in with leadership. On the swim team, so far this year on the swim team we have not had a captain. We are a very small team with only about 19 people. A lot of the older kids on the team (juniors) have just joined the team. And this week the coaches announced that they would soon pick a captain. This is a problem because then the younger, but more experienced kids (sophomores) would be leading the juniors. I hope that the coaches change their minds about picking captains. Also it seems that one of the coaches favorites is a freshmen, and that would be bad, for obvious reasons.

School Topic: Giving

A lot of people think that the gift of giving is the best gift. I disagree, I get very little satisfaction in giving gifts. The one exception to this is pixie sticks. I will often but a big pack of pixie sticks and hand them out. Since you get so many in a pack for a dollar you don't feel like your giving away an arm. I'm probably just selfish though.

Got a new Phone

Wednesday night my old phone went through the wash. My first reaction was a thumbs up. Because I knew this meant a new phone, and no phone is worse than my phone. Also the timing couldn't have been better because by the time we got around to getting me a new phone it was black Friday, and Verizon was giving away free smartphones. So I got some LG touchscreen thing. I don't know much about it but I have 3g and an unlimited data plan. So I can watch as much YouTube as I want. One disappointment is no free grooveshark. But I can still just pirate stuff and put it on there. Another is you can't sign into YouTube, so you have to search for all your videos.

Also on a completely different topic Eric, Tate, and I got to wave 29 on Nazi zombies, not for sure but i don't think anyone in the school has beat that. Hopefully we can try out a new strategy today and break thirty.

Black Ops

Since Black Ops came out it seems to socially acceptable to talk about video games so here goes. I bought black ops and overall i'm happy with it. But there are a few problems with it. The biggest is probably the knife assist. It seems you can now knife someone without even seeing them on your screen. This takes little to no skill and makes me very angry. The next problem is quick scoping. Tryearch (company that made black ops) made a patch that made it nearly impossible to snipe unless your constantly scoped in. Quick scoping, if you didn't know is one of the more, if not the most challenging thing you can do in the call of duty series. And they got rid of it because a few community members called it cheap. Really just not allowing slight of hand pro to affect sniping would have been enough. Also the spawn system is awful, footsteps are weird, network latency seems big, and there some stupid thing were when someone shoots you your gun jerks up and down and this rewards players who can't aim very well because it moves their aimer up into the upper body. Also a few overpowered wepons, mostly m-16 and the g11 but the famas is too, the biggest thing you can do is just get rid of the burst fire guns, they are over powered and always have been. And finally the rc-car is nearly impossible to defend against. But they did make some good decisions. Getting rid of stoping power helps balance the wepons more. And killsteaks not leading to more killsreaks is very nice.

School Topic: Hope

Hope. What we all love, cling to and love, it completes and yet reads the universe. Does this mean the soliloquy is love?

I hate inspirational crap like that. I think hope effects us more than we realize though. I used to think the only people who needed hope were slaves. But hope is what drives us all. If were at school we hope we can get home. We hope we get into a good college. Get a sexy lady or man. And maybe hope you can kill enough people with that bomb to get 72 virgins.

School Topic: Humans and Animals

There are many obvious differences between humans and animals. The most similar animal to humans is the gorilla. And the most similar human to the gorilla is the conservative. They are able to use basic tools such as fear to build groups and families. There basic brains are also similar to gorillas, although there seems to be one major difference. The conservatives are lacking a component of their brain that allows them to alter their opinion and political views. The gorillas however are very open minded and are very willing to listen to and even change their views.

Auto Tune

After ranting last week about willow smith it got me in the mood to talk about auto tune. If you don't know what auto tune is watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dqTrUpmwPg. Now a lot of people think that auto tune is always very extreme, like in the video. But a lot of artists can and do use it to extend their vocal range, and it can be hard to notice. I initially thought that this was unfair and taking away from the people with real talent. But then I thought about how people with a lot of vocal talent were really only born with it. So are they any more deserving of the fame and fortune?

School Topic: Beauty

Two things come to mind when men think of beauty, art and women, mostly women. Many people are judged by how beautiful they are. This is unfortunate for Conservatives because liberals have always been and will always be sexier. The only exceptions to this rule are Ben Jones, and Hilary Clinton. I consider my self very lucky to be sexy, because i'm a liberal. One of my not so liberal acquaintance's thinks his fro is better than mine, and i'll admit the competition is close. But because I am a Liberal and he is not, I win by default. Also i'm blonde.

Willow Smith

Willow Smith is Will Smiths Daughter if you couldn't tell. She recently started a music career, her first song is whip your hair here's the link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymKLymvwD2U. It's obvious she got a career in music from her dad because she not that talented. This is a shame because there's already a saturated market for music, so she's making it hard for other people with real talent to get in. Also lyrically the song is complete failure. An example this would be at the beginning of the song when she says "hop up out the bed, turn my swag on" its kind of a catchy phrase but it was made up about 3 months ago, also i'm not sure is there is a single rhyme in the song. This shows she to stupid to even hire a decent enough song writer to make up for her lack of talent, although her dad probably hired the song writer. This is completely unrelated to being a liberal but I needed something to write about.

Silly Creationist Silliness

The other day one of my few conservative friends Ben Jones approached me and said there was more evidence supporting creation than evolution. I asked him to give me an example, he gave me a few, I am still working on some of them but one of them I have successfully disproved. The argument was that the earth moves 2mm away from the sun each year, so if the earth really formed 2 billion years ago then it would have had to come out of the sun. I disproved this with some simple math. The sun is 146 million kilometers away from the earth, one kilometer is 1,000,000 millimeters. The earth was formed 4.7 Billion years ago so 4,700,000,000 multiplied by .0002 equals 940,000 miles. So another claim disproved, but not all claims have been disproved and that brings up a good point. Because not everything can be disproved by science at this time, people just assume if you can't explain one thing that science is false and creation is real. It's a bit like a weed.

Evolution

I think that when many people hear this word they instantly cringe, or think its impossible. I would prefer to not talk about it also because I could be quoted and make the people who believe in it all look stupid because of something stupid I said. However it is something i'm interested in and it's easy to write about things your interested in, and I need to improve my grade as of late.

I'm sure people will see this blog topic as evolution and instantly close the page fearing an instant ticket to hell, (if they haven't already been stopped by the title of the blog). Which is unfortunate because they will likely continue like that for the rest of their lives living in a cloud of ignorance. School Topic: Justice and Fairness

School Topic: Silence and Noise

Noise, some hate it, some love it, some really need to make less of it, (anyone on fox news) .

Silence, something that you should hear when your watching fox news. I favor noise over silence (as long as the noise isn't coming from fox news, especially Glenn Beck). Many people choose to fill the silence with music. Others like to fill it with the sound of fox news. Those people are what I like to call silly. Though I dislike silence I dislike the noise that fox news makes even more. Also i hate the noise fox news makes. And finally to summarize I don't like fox news.

O'Donnell on Evolution

Christine O'Donnell is a Tea Party member running for Senate. This is what she had to say about evolution:http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/25/christine-odonnell-evolution-monkeys_n_739131.html. That link above shows that she basically thinks that because there are monkeys evolution is false. Believe what you want but saying "why aren't monkeys still evolving into humans?" is not a very good way to try to disprove it, not that you can.

School Topic: Friendship

I often spell this word wrong. Usually because I mix up the 'i' and the 'e'. But just because I spell it wrong doesn't mean I do it wrong! The word is friendship! I have lots of friends. Exactly 200 on Facebook! And I only had to add 199 of them! Sure it took a few tries, but they always accepted. But just because I have friends on Facebook doesn't mean I have friends in real life. But I do! I have almost 4! And it only costs me 5 dollars an hour!

I chose to write about being a liberal both because its funny and something that I'm passionate about. I'm not saying being a liberal is funny but that being a libral and going against conservatives is. I encourage debate, but mostly open mindedness because otherwise (if your conservative) you will probably just blow this off and nothing good will come of it.
